Grilled Quail Jalapeno Poppers

Grilled Quail Jalapeno Poppers


    quail breasts
    juice from jar of jalapenos
    bacon slices
    jar of jalapenos
    bamboo, wood or metal skewers


Marinate quali cubes minimum 2 hours and preferably longer. Overnight is ok. Soak skewers 20 minutes if using wood or bamboo. Talke quail cube, place a jalapeno slice on it and wrap in bacon. Fit 5 to 7 on each skewer.

Brush and oil the grill to prevent stsicking. Grill over moderate direct heat. Flip and move around grill for even cooking every 3 to 4 minutes. Cook until bacon is crispy and quail is done but not dried out. Aprox 20 minutes. Remove poppers from skewers and serve with toothpicks.


Tip: Bring a cooler with ice, ziplock and marinade with you into the fiesl. Breast your birds, toss in ziplocks and marinade and you'll be ready to cook when you arrive home, Simple as that.
