Catfish Below Dams: The early summer is an excellent time to catch catfish below Middle Tennessee Dams, especially blue or channel catfish. Whether you fish below Old Hickory Dam (see here) Cordell Hull, Cheatham, or Barkley dams, the catfish is good on Cumberland River impoundments.
